Henry Hathaway grew up in New Jersey and became interested in comics and manga around the age of 11 after reading Volume 1 of Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto. Over the years, he began to develop an interest in fine art generally, with comics remaining his passion. In the summer of 2014 he attended the Rhode Island School of Design Pre-College summer program, studying comic books. Henry went on to study art at Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University. At Tyler he focused on drawing but also developed an interest in oil painting. He continued to create comics at Tyler. Henry graduated in spring of 2019 with a BA in Visual Studies.
